Relentlessly, curious and passionate about the creation and delivery of exceptional color for our consumers. You will hold a key leadership position on our Global Apparel Materials Team. Together our team will create and deliver world class sustainable materials and color that inspire every consumer in our product!

 

Our team is responsible for creating, developing and commercializing palette strategies that deliver on the highest level of athlete* experience, and key sustainability goals. We will work closely with Innovation, Design, Product Merchandising, Technical Development, and Sourcing and Manufacturing to connect and accelerate color execution and palette strategies across the product line, and throughout the creation process.

 

As the Color Director, you will lead a dynamic and creative team of color developers, delivering global color standards and color excellence! The team is responsible for delivering the corporate color palette and execution of critical lab dips across Global Apparel and Accessories.

 

Key Accountabilities

  • Drive key strategic functional goals and accountabilities; lead coach and develop our next generation of leaders
  • Lead strategic objectives for all aspects of color development including creation, risk assessment, validation and execution
  • Drive Corporate color palette strategy from process to tool execution
  • Elevate and evolve best-in-class color capabilities with a vision for current and advanced color industry benchmarks and manufacturing processes
  • Partner closely with Design, Materials Standards and Product Integrity on palette build and Region based partners for color development execution

Other Qualification Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Textile Science, Apparel Engineering, or Apparel Design or two additional years of experience in lieu of degree
  • 10+ years professional experience in color development, materials development with focus on color within knits, wovens or in a related field
  • Exceptional understanding of color development including physical and/or digital color methods
  • Comprehensive understanding of color development process from inception through to commercialization.
  • Exceptional communication and ability to partner across internal and external partners and stakeholders
  • Strong understanding of industry benchmarks and manufacturing processes
  • Experience managing portfolio of projects with competing resources and deadlines
  • Strong influencing skills and ability to collaborate with various partners cross functionally
  • Ability to pass the Munsell Hue color test for color acuity
