WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are looking for a Sourcing & Costing Analyst to join our Jordan Apparel team. In this role, you will provide analytics and cost solutions of manufacturing capability and cost challenges in a fast paced product creation environment. You will collaborate across different levels of the organization to meet financial targets.
WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?
As a Sourcing & Costing Analyst you’ll be working with the Jordan Apparel Creation team to perform sourcing and costing activities in support of making and delivering outstanding product. You will represent Sourcing in cross-functional line planning to ensure needs and capabilities are built into timelines and process. We will look to you to offer manufacturing alternatives and help resolve design, development and pricing challenges. We will have you coordinate with manufacturing teams to select the most appropriate manufacturing source to meet quality and pricing needs.
You will have the opportunity to analyze manufacturing capabilities to anticipate and avoid issues. Coordinating the costing process in conjunction with our Development team to meet cost and margin targets is a key part of your role. In order to ensure costs are tracking to targets, you will be identifying fabric and trim alternatives and organizing costing documentation to ensure appropriate information is kept for assigned products.
WHO WILL YOU WORK WITH?
You will report to the Manager of Sourcing & Costing and partner with the full product creation team, including Product Merchandising, Technical Development, Shanghai Product Development, Margin Planning & Management and Product & Graphic Design.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING?
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Finance or a related field. Additional two years' experience in lieu of a degree.
- 3+ years experience in Sourcing, Planning, Manufacturing, and or Product Creation
- Supply Chain knowledge including awareness of processes and events from product concept through to delivery
- Knowledge of product creation process with apparel creation preferred
- Strong verbal and written interpersonal abilities
- Experience negotiating and influencing
- Ability to lead collaboration with cross functional partners
- Ability to identify and solve a range of issues/challenges actively and comfortability working with ambiguity
- A keen eye for opportunities to streamline processes and share standard methodologies
- Strong organizational skills and a self-starter
- Data analysis acuity, highly proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Office Suite
