The Global Trade Compliance Manager will support the execution of Nike’s Global Trade Compliance Framework, driving and enabling trade compliance excellence across the organization through providing product HTS classification and expertise, the development and implementation of comprehensive compliance training, and executing Trade and Customs risk assessments. The individual in this role will drive the ongoing development of our best in class programs, analytics, processes, and internal controls in partnership with our geography teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Nike’s Global Trade and Customs team in expanding and enhancing our Compliance Framework, driving the framework for our best in class trade compliance program, procedures and internal controls.
  • Support the global standardization of Nike’s trade processes and standard operating procedures. Aid GEOs and Territories in developing efficient, effective and appropriate work procedures to support compliance with applicable import and export regulations
  • Utilize HTS classification knowledge to enter and review attributes in Nike Customs Systems in support of global classification requirements
  • Aid Nike’s Global Trade and Customs teams in identifying innovative solutions to review products and ensure Nike Customs Systems rules are configured to ensure compliance
  • Collaborate with Global Trade Compliance team to design, develop, deploy and implement comprehensive global trade compliance training. Interpret content requirements and craft impactful presentations, materials and visualizations for key Trade and Customs stakeholders and partners
  • Execute global trade and Customs self-assessments, identifying gap identification and collaborating with the Global Trade and Customs team and Geos/Territories on identifying corrective action
  • Provide standard methodologies through consistent analysis, feedback, and follow-through with the Global Trade and Customs teams. Monitor remediation activities and contribute to team process improvements.
  • Execute on various analytical tasks to identify friction points, process gaps, and improvement opportunities across foundational processes

What you bring to Nike:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, International Trade or related area. Master’s degree

preferred

  • 5 years of experience within customs & trade, supply chain, finance, internal audit, or a similar function in medium to large companies

  • Experience in the customs & international trade industry, policy & procedure development, systems/tool development

  • Proven ability to work cross functionally, cross culturally, with virtual teams to build strong relationships

  • Track record of creating new ways of thinking, developing and implementing processes, process improvement, and inspiring change
