Qualifications

  • Pursuing an advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in a quantitative discipline (Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Human Research or Sport Science, etc.) with an expected graduation of Winter 2022 or Spring/Summer 2023 

  • Demonstrated experience in a programming language (e.g. Python, C++) and ML/DL frameworks (e.g. PyTorch, TensorFlow, Keras, Scikit-learn) including data synthesis, machine learning, statistical modeling or signal processing 

  • Demonstrated experience with data visualization and interaction tools and frameworks (e.g. Tableau, Plotly, Streamlit, Matplotlib, d3.js)  

  • Ability to read, interpret, and implement methods described in research papers, journals, and articles in signal processing, machine/deep learning, behavioral economics and related fields 

  • Ability to build software tools or applications and dashboards using front-end development skills 

  • Proven experience communicating technical information in written and verbal formats 

  • Proven ability to sift through data, identify critical information, develop hypotheses, perform rigorous analyses, and make recommendations to broader audiences 

  • Strong interpersonal skills and open to learning new tools/techniques 

  • Passionate about sport, fitness, exercise science and related areas  

Preferred Qualifications 

  • 2+ years of experience in a role developing predictive or explanatory models and/or experimentation processes 

  • Experience with neural nets and deep architectures 

  • Experience with distributed computing systems and environments (Spark, Hive, Airflow, Kubernetes etc) 

  • Experience with moderate to large-scale data sets (>100GB) 

  • Experience in at least one production-quality programming language (e.g. java, python, scala, C++) 

  • Experience with activity recognition/classification, physiological signal processing, time-series analysis, biomechanical modeling or related areas using data captured in real-world settings
