Who are we looking for

We are looking for an Intermediate Production Support Warehouse Controls System (WCS) Analyst that will support the North America Distribution Centers. This person will be a technical, mechanical, and software analyst who knows WCS systems inside and out. This person will need to be confident working in a fast-paced environment and be a highly performing, responsive, client-focused individual that cultivates an environment of collaborations, inclusiveness and diversity through leadership and proven behaviors.

 

What you will work on

You will be responsible for monitoring the ticketing queue for incidences related to the Warehouse Control Systems, this includes identifying issues, analyzing the issues, and then working with the team to correct or elevate the issue when needed.

  • Monitors, identifies and analyzes problems with WCS core services, middleware and operating systems; delivers timely resolution and document troubleshooting procedures to mitigate impact of issues and improve WCS performance
  • Monitors the WCS ServiceNow Ticket queue during their shift to provide 24x7 incident and Service Request resolutions.
  • Collaborate closely with other Production Support Team members to resolve support calls. Respond to any emergency situations that arise to ensure the service is restored as quickly as possible
  • Participates in the application of system patches, security patches and third-party updates to maintain systems at a high level of performance, availability and security
  • Monitors the WCS Escalation hotline during their shift to provide 24x7 coverage.
  • Provides on-call support as needed

Who you will work with

The Intermediate Production Analyst must have the ability to work cross-functionally within a matrixed environment. You will work hand in hand with Operations, Maintenance, WCS 3rd party vendors, and other Nike Technology Teams to ensure the smooth operation of our WCS systems within the facilities.


You will also work closely with your Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) counterpart to provide knowledge transfer of WCS and to receive knowledge transfer of WMS.


What you bring to Nike

  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, Engineering, or Information Systems (or equivalent combination of education and experience in technology preferable with WCS application in a distribution center environment)
  • Minimum of 1 year Systems Analytics experience required
  • Knowledge of IS infrastructure (hardware, databases, operating systems, local area networks, etc.)
  • Strong and effective communication skills
  • Solid technical background with multiple system interfaces
  • Knowledge of Warehouse Controls Systems software applications. Preferably one of more of the following systems: Wynright, Buemer, Techking, Crisplant, Answer system, Vision System, SDI, PandA, and Pyramid)
  • Working knowledge of FTP, Telnet, Ping, DNS, DHCP, WINS, SNMP, HTTP and LDAP.
