  • 5+ years combined hands-on operations experience with public cloud, distributed computing, commercial off-the-shelf (COTS), and custom developed solutions.
  • 5+ years of hands-on development experience with Python or Java (preferred); experience in microservice-oriented, domain-driven design is a bonus.
  • Strong familiarity with the range of cloud services available through major cloud platform providers (AWS, Azure, etc), and a solid understanding of the tradeoffs between fully custom development, leveraging lower level cloud services with custom integration, and pure COTS deployment, with a bias toward speed-to-market.
  • Some background with applied statistics / machine learning-based models is a plus, particularly in terms of service-to-service integration of model input.
  • Expertise with a continuous deployment platform like Jenkins, Circle, etc, is highly desirable.
  • Expertise with configuration-as-code platforms/tools such as Puppet, Ansible, etc, is highly desirable.
  • An understanding of automated testing / build testing of infrastructure code within the pipeline deployment process is a major plus.
  • Have the ability to translate business requirements to end-to-end solutions.
  • Collaborative mind, able to work with a team to deliver the strongest solution.
  • Self-starter and takes ownership in the quality of work being delivered.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering Focused degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Exceptional collaboration, listening, written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-starter with high motivation and passion who thrives in an ever-changing, fast-paced environment with the ability to adapt to change
