WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR
We are seeking a Lead Product Manager for Year of Permissions in our Data Governance organization. We're looking for someone passionate and curious about data! Most importantly, you are a CHAMPION in the application, usage and adoption of data governance and consumer permission capabilities.


THIS ROLE IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE FOLLOWING: 
-  Obsess Nike’s data: what data, where it is, and who is using it across all functions and geographies.

-  Design and implement product requirements for managing consumer permissions across Nike; ensuring the appropriate people within the enterprise have the appropriate access to consumer data, while meeting business needs and balancing quality, risk and cost.

-  Lead the requirements gathering for implementation of Year of Permissions capabilities across Nike’s data and analytics solutions.

-  Collaborate as a data governance and Year of Permissions specialist with key partners and the business to understand requirements and find creative and flexible solutions to resolve problems

-  Partner with key stakeholders in Nike Direct, Digital, Privacy, Security, Technology & Analytics functions to execute Year of Permissions priorities and ensure proper controls are established

-  Work closely with IT and business partners to ensure solutions meet or exceed security policies and regulatory compliance requirements (i.e. General Data Protection Regulation - GDPR)

-  Exercise strong leadership working both independently and with project teams to understand, research, determine, document and communicate Year of Permissions requirements

-  Utilize data governance & Year of Permissions capabilities to elevate the maturity of consumer permissions at Nike

-  Maximize strong influencing and communication skills as you will need to direct technical engineering partners towards resolution of Year of Permissions issues and concerns

-  Work to elevate greater understanding across the data and analytics and business communities of the role of data governance and the importance of the work encompassed by Year of Permissions

-  Engage with the industry to learn about best practices, gain insightful competitive and regulatory intelligence to help in building excellence in our governance initiatives


WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON
If this is you, you’ll be working with the Enterprise Data Governance team and partner closely with owners of technical platforms to implement Year of Permissions strategies and policies.

A typical day/week involves tasks that are a combination of identifying stakeholders and data stewards, partnering with Corporate Information Security, Privacy and Data Product Management to understand the data lifecycle, establishing and/or maturing data governance & Year of Permissions capabilities


WHO WILL YOU WORK WITH
You will report to the Director of Compliance, Access & Discovery and will be responsible for discovering and documenting all requirements related to Year of Permissions capabilities, primarily focused on controls for Consumer Data.

You will partner with Corporate Information Security, Privacy and core Data & Analytics teams. We will look to this leader to partner with Business Leaders/Stewards who own the data and Technical Stewards responsible for the implementation of systems that originate the data.


WHAT YOU BRING
-  Bachelor's degree in business or a technical discipline, or equivalent level of experience in a data security, cyber security, data quality, data governance, or related field. Additional experience may be accepted in lieu of degree.

-  6 years of relevant experience implementing data governance and/or data security standards, practices, and support models to achieve business objectives

-  Solid understanding of Identity/Access Management concepts

-  Two or more years of experience implementing processes to support rule-based access control protocols

-  Knowledge of rule-based access control software and systems

-  Confirmed ability to work with business and analytics leaders to identify and align on workable business solutions to consumer permission requirements and challenges

-  Ability to successfully champion the role of consumer permissions & governance in building and preserving data integrity

-  Experience with data and information/content implementations involving collaborative solutions, predictive analytics and BI reporting, machine learning, knowledge systems, big data and the use of diverse sources of data/content

-  Exceptional interpersonal, written and verbal skills with confirmed ability to educate, inform, persuade, and achieve understanding and consensus on data quality/data governance needs across different functions, levels and customers

-  Extensive experience in leading projects with a team-focused approach - with the ability to prioritize, organize and manage timelines

-  Experience or demonstrated passion for working with data

-  Strong analytical and problem-solving ability

-  Deep understanding of data governance practices, business and technology issues related to management of enterprise information assets and approaches related to data protection

-  Knowledge of data related government regulatory requirements and emerging trends and issues
