WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Inspirational and highly engaged marketing leader who is able to evolve the brand to the next level. GEO Marketing heads have a deep understanding of their consumers, their competition, market trends, local insights in key markets, emerging opportunities, and media landscape. The role reports directly to the Converse GM of Western Europe and is a significant role within the Converse Global Marketing organization.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

  • Adopt and enrich the global marketing strategy and build a geo specific (go-to-market) plan using consumer insights to ensure relevance for the WE consumer.
  • Implement consumer-centric capabilities & priorities, identifying consumers through the Converse target audiences.
  • Lead a large, diverse multifunctional marketing organization across the Western Europe Marketplace and connect their work into an integrated marketing plan.
  • Craft the seasonal brand and product narrative map & implement across the Geo.
  • Identify priority Geo opportunities that provide scale and efficiency.
  • Lead Geo or territory budget including demand creation (marketing spend) resources.
  • Track and evaluate marketing impact across the region via metrics including but not limited to brand love, awareness, traffic, engagement, audience acquisition, etc.
  • Serve as brand steward and ensure quality control of how the Converse brand shows up.
  • Develop the media strategy with both digital and traditional media levers.

WHO YOU WORK WITH?

Converse Western European Leadership Team and Brand Team; Global Converse Senior LT and Brand LT; Nike EMEA brand and global brand teams.

WHAT YOU BRING

10+ years of successful marketing and brand building experience including tenure in a dynamic omnichannel business leading sizeable budgets with creative and agency management responsibilities.

Brand Marketing

  • Extensive prior senior marketing experience in crafting Geo specific narratives in line with global brand strategy blended with local consumer and retailer needs
  • Drive out of the box thinking that results in breakthrough ideas grounded in insights.
  • Balances both the long-term brand vision and needs, with the tactical requirements of the customer teams

Digital competence

  • Successfully use digital capabilities across the business, with a specific understanding on how to drive integrated consumer journeys using digital storytelling, media, paid social channels, CRM/email, data analytics, online commerce, etc.
  • Experience driving traffic building programs that impact sales.
  • Strong understanding of media mix and media related critical metrics

Creative marketeer

  • Ensure creative is compelling and remains on brand while clearly articulating core brand attributes and points of differentiation to drive sales.
  • Develop creative proficiencies in a team.

Partnership experience

  • Experience driving brand heat via brand elevating collaborations and the power of musicians, artists, fashion designers, influencers, and celebrities in order to drive brand awareness and brand appeal.

Validated leadership

  • Expert level communication/negotiation skills.
  • Has led talent development and effectively uses individual strengths and fosters a culture of collaboration and belonging!
  • Proven track record of working optimally with cross-functional teams.
  • Break down silos and deliver results in a highly matrixed environment.

Large scale transformation

  • Has led a business through significant change covering strategy, operations, process, and behavior.
