At Converse, we strive each day to spark progress in the lives of youth around the world. The “Incubate” Organization’s purpose is to play a significant role in driving the Converse Brand and Business. The Sr. Director of this organization will be responsible for developing the strategy for this function, creating the clear plan to support this strategy, and leading a cross-functional team across brand, product, merchandising, and marketplace to deliver this plan. This team will lead the product roadmaps that drive against our pinnacle expression of the brand working with collaborators internally and externally. Additionally, they will also lead our efforts with outside license partners to drive commercial opportunities for Converse. This role will be the brand leader in driving a strategy that allows us to add energy to the Converse brand around the world, while helping to ensure this energy feeds the larger Converse Brand, Product, and Business objectives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and evolve the “Incubate” strategy and approach, delivering against Company priorities and closely connected to the Brand strategy and brand leading concepts and narrative.
• Connect the brand strategy with focused commercial goals which are aligned through the organization.
• Own the strategic framework and drive seasonal planning against this framework
• Cultivate a clear process for aligning the plan overall and seasonally with all key stakeholders
• Lead the team in identifying and selecting collaborators to deliver the plan
• Create business cases and support the negotiation of collaborator contracts
• Contribute to our integrated market place strategy with a excellent point of view for how to Win at Pinnacle 24/7
• Drive the Incubate Showroom and the overall GTM process
• Lead the virtual Incubate team across all Geos and key functions
• Ensure ongoing strategic alignment across ELT
• Consistently communicate the plan and the progress against the plan to the full organization

• Excellent consumer understanding and acumen
• Deep understanding of the how culture is formed and how influences flows into culture
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
• At least 10 years of professional experience
• Has led multiple teams across diverse organizations
• Excellent ability to develop high profile, influential and collaborative relationships across teams, functions, and layers to drive results, preferably in a matrixed environment
• Deep understanding of Converse culture
• Demonstrated success with high profile communications
• Demonstrated ability to set and implement groundbreaking strategies endorsed by senior leadership teams
• Knowledge of fashion and sport lifestyle industry and pinnacle distribution
• Experience in working on high profile consumer brands
