As a Senior Material Handler, you'll be responsible for base line material handler functions with additional emphasis on project leadership, interdepartmental coordination and data analysis. You'll continue to process customer orders and returns, maintain product inventory and use material handling equipment. You'll lead groups of people and will act as a role model to distribution center (DC) associates. You'll utilize systems (i.e. PkMS, Put-to-Light, AS400, etc) and equipment to ensure inventory integrity, order fulfillment and smooth product flow. You'll also lead projects and teams to continuously improve the operation and key result areas. You'll gather and analyze information, prepare reports while assisting management with staff schedules. You'll also have the opportunity to make recommendations using continuous improvement philosophy. In addition, you'll facilitate the training of others on distribution systems, processes and equipment.

  • High School diploma or GED
  • 3 years' relevant work experience in a distribution center or warehouse environment
  • Knowledge of personal computers and Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to work in a team environment on any shift
  • Ability to read and write basic English
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations
  • Ability to lift up to 35-50 lbs. continuously
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Leadership experience is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of the PKMS system software and Conveyor Control System, including Receiving, Replenishment, Picking, Put-to-Light, Packing and Shipping systems is preferred
  • Working knowledge of forecasting and budgeting procedures, including calculations such as Units per man-hour is preferred
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree is a plus
