Workplace Design & Connectivity - Global Design Director

We're looking for someone who has deep experience with architecture,
interior design, and workplace strategy, with a proven track record for building
a multi-disciplinary design team to inform and execute a global vision. The role will work collaboratively with
Nike leadership and bring in external resources to help drive the vision for
enhancing the employee experience and productivity.
The role requires strong team management acumen with excellent
communication skills. The Director
needs to be a versatile leader, someone who is able to: partner with all teams
and functions across Nike; bring energy and curiosity to understanding complex workplace
design challenges and partnering with designers to solve them. This leader
should be highly adaptable, comfortable with constant change, and capable of
quickly rallying teams and resources around key issues and events.
Other considerations:

Bachelors degree in Architecture, Industrial Design, Retail Environmental
Design and12-15 years' architecture and/or interior design experience demonstrating
creative sophistication in concepts and design

Demonstrated knowledge of entire design process from conceptualization
through production
·
Proven experience leading and managing multi-disciplinary global design
teams
·
Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
·
Ability to work independently and take initiative to solve problems
·
Integrates and executes design strategy
·
Communicates and presents projects to all levels of management
·
Provides appropriate business, design, consumer and cultural
story-telling within the context and parameters necessary
·
Ensures design consistency and quality meets all WDC and Nike standards
·
Collaborates with WDC counterparts and design peers to ensure design and
communication consistency across broader DTC team and Brand
·
Strong oral and written communications skills in local market language,
including meeting facilitation and ability to make persuasive presentations to
senior management
·
Ability to effectively elevate strategic concerns to senior management
in a timely and accurate manner
·
Ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines, groups, and
geographies
